CONGU registration/membership
Hi,
Can anyone tell me, I've just joined a new club and when requesting my handicap cert from my previous club they informed me they didn't have one for me.
I have had one in the past but which was officially registered with CONGU up until Dec 2009 by my first club. I then moved to my last club in Jan 2010. Didn't play too much over the coming year or so not entering any comps. I have now move area and join my third club since 2009.
Is there anything I can do to get my handicap/CONGU membership reinstated, without having to enter 3 cards.
Any advise is greatly appreciated.
kind regards

I'm not certain but I think you need to put in 3 cards per year to keep your handicap,. So you will probably need to start again with 3 cards.

I'd agreed with Adrian until I read this,

Did you ensure that your handicap was transferred to your new club in Jan 2010? If you did, then the new club should have your handicap record whetether you played in qualifiers or not. If you didn't play in 3 qualifiers in 2010, your handicap would have become inactive at the end of 2010 but would still be an official CONGU handicap.
If you didn't transfer your handicap in Jan 2010, your handicap record should still be with your first club as they are obliged to retain handicap records for all present and past members for at least the current year and the previous 2 years.

Gary, what was your last CONGU handicap? Was it 26?
