Spikes

Posted by: user77012 | Sun 13th Nov 2011 01:40 | Last Reply

Anyone spiking up for winter? just dug out my winter Hitec CDX shoes which have metal spikes. My course gets very wet during the winter months and although flat can still be prone to slipping. Do you change for winter? are you metal spikes all year?

Soft spikes, or spikeless, all year. Its a links course so no real problems with slipping and slidding.

Use metal in winter. othing to do with grip just makes cleaning easier and yes it's an anal thing.Clean them, all year round, as soon as possible.

Wash with warm water, stiff brush then dry in ambient temperature and finally polish. Sorry very boring but shoes do last and most of all dont smell.
