Sports injury clinic

Posted by: user410273 | Fri 11th Nov 2011 22:36 | Last Reply

Being a supreme athlete (loud cough) I am prone to the odd niggle... I wish! My eldest son emailed me the details of the Sports injury clinic at our local university. So with nowt much to lose, having tried everything apart from Voodoo and chicken bones I contacted them. No, its not the students that try and get your foot behind your head, its the lecturers.

After 6 years of physio, from various practitioners, I've got to say the clinic and the people there are the best I've experienced. Its not a miracle cure all but at least it helps.

So if you are suffering from the aches and pains of our sport, or any other niggle, I'd suggest finding your local sports injury clinic. It may be at the local university or football club. There's every chance they have some 'star' practitioners there, and also most certainly the right kit to go with it.

Now I wonder if its too late to post a qualifying time for the 2012 Olympics.

I've always recomended them.  Our local physio helps out with Leicester City FC and Derbyshire County Cricket Club.  They know sports injuries, simple as that.  I've also gone to the local David Lloyd fitness club where they also have decent physios..
