After the Lord Mayor's show

Posted by: user410273 | Sun 30th Oct 2011 10:09 | Last Reply

After a great round on Friday it was back to earth with a huge bang, and a nice reminder that this wonderful game can bite you in the bum. Walking what was a hilly course for me coming from a links course, on Friday, then sitting in the car for 4 hrs meant the arthritis was well and truly banging away yesterday morning.

And my score in yesterday's club comp; a solid 26pts and last place in Div 1.

Looking forward to a few holes later today... the birthday bunny has brought me 2 doz Penta's, a Hugo Boss tee shirt AND a Titliest 910 D2 driver.

Happy birthday Brian.  Enjoy the 910 D2, it's fantasic (well mine is anyway).  Which loft & shaft did you go for and what is your setting?  I've got a stiff Aldila RIP in a 9.5* set at A1

Happy birthday, Brian, great round on Friday. Will be talking Dave Ley into coming up with me to have a knock around your links.

Cheers John, we have two spare bedrooms and both you and Dave are more than welcome up here anytime.

Actually, we've got the shed for the sheep molester!

We can't make any excuses now, can we, Brian. Yes, I am quite sure he might prefer the shed, providing the Guiness is on tap.

Chris, the D2 is a 10.5* with a Mitsubishi Rayon JavlnFX M6 stiff. I've set it to 12* B3 to start with, which is giving me time to get used it it and then I'll start winding the loft down.

Dave, the Guinness at the club, and at my local a few hundred yards away, is rather delish!
