affordable all-inclusive golf in spain
Hi everyone,
I hope the moderators don’t mind me posting this thread but I am doing so as a result of a recent UK golfing society of 11 golfers (who made all their own arrangements) staying at my Spanish home in the Costa Blanca for a golfing holiday.
The guys ALL had a fantastic week of golf playing 4 rounds at 4 different courses and enjoyed their stay so much they intend to return either next year or 2013 and perhaps make it an annual or bi-annual event/tournament thereafter. Their only complaint was the overall cost with the guys all agreeing that the week including spends etc was in the region of £1000 making it an expensive luxury to explain to their wives and unlikely therefore to be an annual event due to the cost.
Following numerous conversations and prompting by the lads I have now carefully costed all aspects of a golf holiday and I am able to arrange the following for anyone that is interested:-
7 nights all inclusive accommodation at a fabulously equipped villa, with UNLIMITED good quality drinks, not the usual rubbish you get with all inclusive packages at hotels etc,
+Full Breakfast and 3 course evening menu.
+ 3 rounds of golf, many inclusive of buggies (4, 5 and 6 round packages will also be available)
+All the transfers to/from the airport/villa and golf courses.
Costing from approximately £369 depending on course fee special offers applicable at the prevailing time .
In essence the above package has been put together to enable golf societies to enjoy the benefits of playing Spanish courses in an all year round warm climate but at an affordable price. The package is totally genuine and only available at the moment to golf societies and large groups as it requires a minimum of 8 players to break even.
Within the package there is very little for the golf organiser to arrange other than the flights as I can arrange everything else, even down to the booking of the golf and tee off times. I also can help with reducing the flight costs with a few little useful tips when sourcing/booking them.
The facilities at the accommodation are excellent with a full games room with pool/football/pingpong/air hockey tables + dartboard/darts, 10 x 5 metre swimming pool, and Jacuzzi to name just a few.
Once again please excuse me for placing this post and I do hope the moderators understand I am not a commercial business, just someone who wants to help fellow golfers access affordable golf in Spain.
Cheers
stuart

Hi Paul, Apologies for such a delayed response but I don't seem to have received a notification of your post and I havent logged on here for ages.
To give you some idea of the golf breaks I arrange, my group from last week (8 golfers) stayed at my villa for 4 nights all-inclusive of 3 rounds of golf with buggies, breakfast and evening meals, all drinks consumed at the villa(Tea,coffee, wines, beers, spirits and mixers) and all transfers to/from the resort airport, villa and golf courses. The cost to them was £289.
The guys played Altorreal on day of arrival and Vistabella the following 2 days and thouroughly enjoyed there stay.
I now have a choice of 12 courses who have come on board and will be altering my website to include reviews of each course(there are presently only 8 shown on website).
Most groups leave the course selection to myself as this enables me to choose the courses offering the best deals to me at any given time, hence passing the savings onto my guests.
My next group are staying for 7 nights all inc with 4 rounds of golf stipulating they wanted to play Los Colinos within the 4 days golf. I have arranged 2 rounds at La Finca, 1 round at Lo romero and 1 round at Los Colinos all with buggies at a total cost for the all inclusive package of £415.
The packages I put together are superb value for money given the quality of accommodation @ "Villa Lemontrees" and the total service I always try to provide.
The last group had 1 little niggle re they would have liked a daily maid service as in hotel accommodation and having listened to there views I am putting this in place as an optional cost of £15 per day shared by the total group. I am also this week purchasing 4 sets of golf clubs to offer a club hire service @ only £5 per day.
My golf organizer is a local golfing guru who writes golf articles for numerous local newspapers and magazines and he provides a golf tuition service at a fraction of the uk cost.
I am presently looking into constructing a driving net facility and perhaps a pitch and putt area within the villa grounds and would hope to have these facilities by 2013.
I hope this info is of help.
Feel free to take a look at my website www.golf-holidays-spain.com for more information
Cheers

Guys above all, avoid Em
We booked a 3 day golf package with Golfbreaks.com beginning June 20. At the time of booking. we were not informed by this so-called travel specialist that the greens on one of the courses, Links, was unplayable because the greens had been dug up. We booked one day links, two days Forest, the other course there.
So the hotel. The a/c didn't work and after one sweaty sleepless night, and after a technical tried to repair the a/c, we moved to another room. We then found out that the pool was empty (we're talking summer here) and the answer was a shrug of the shoulders.
Wi-Fi doesn't work if you have a North facing room Why? "Because iPhones don't work in this hotel, only Androids." When we moved to a different room facing south, guess what, iPhones worked. The staff there really treat their customers like techno idiots.
The food: the restaurant is empty because of the poor menu and sky high pricing. The snack bar coming off the course is great with>a microwave and serves up cheap food again at sky high prices.
So we took the matter up with Golfbreaks asking why they recommended this hotel/golf complex so highly in view of all the problems we encountered. The reply? Oh we just publish details of the venue that we are provided by the hotel. So Golfbreaks sells you products that they have no first hand knowledge of. Golf specialists? My eye.
Avoid this hotel at all costs. It can only lead to dismay.
Room Tip: Emporda, near Girona - It's a hotel to be avoided

Hi guys,
Not sure what the above posting by Hugh Paterson refers to but it certainly has nothing to do with the packages I provide. I now have my own website golf-holidays-spain.com if anyone would like to have a look at the most recent special offers.
