Hi

I'm new to golf so can someone explain some of the terms I've come across whilst reading the forums:

In the conetxt of a society what is VGS

What is a snifter

What is a blob

Apologies for my ignorance - I'm sure thay are humourous terms but I haven't a clue what they mean!

 Cheers, Tony

VGS is the virtual golf society

A snifter is a tot of whiskey/brandy shared amongst a fourball when they all score the same on a hole or a birdie is made.

A blob is no points on any one hole in a Stableford competition.

Personally, Paul, I had never come across this myself until I started playing with the VGS and it seems this is the way they do things.
