Handicap calculator

Posted by: user8 [FORUM MODERATOR] | Fri 29th Jul 2005 21:19 | Last Reply

I have submitted several cards to the site and initially my handicap was calculated. It went down when I shot a good round but it has not adjusted itself following my last two rounds.

Is there something I have to do for this to happen? I tick the box to include it in the calculation when I submitted the scorecards.

Please help!!

Regards

Christian

Hi, all is correct.

Although you had 2 slightly poorer rounds you only shot 2/3 strokes over the SSS after you take your handicap into account. Basically you can only have a maximum of +2 per hole, so your scores get adjusted based on this. This gave you the 2/3 over per round. 22.5 handicap is in the category 4 handicap zone so you ignore upto +4 over, only when you go to +5 will your handicap go up.
