Personal Targets

Posted by: user60596 | Sun 8th Jul 2007 15:19 | Last Reply

Do any of you guys have personal targets in mind that you want to achieve in the near future?

I recently set one of back to back birdies, which i thought would take a while, yet today i went out and scored 3 birdies in a row!! I couldn't believe it, the putts just went perfect.

I still want to achieve an eagle, and score under 80 in a competitive round, but are there any different targets that you guys set yourselves??

For me it is just nice to be playing again after my health problems, and I am certain that it will not be long, before I can get my game back enough, to consistently be under 80. That is my goal.

I have it right mentally, but the body does not want to do what I am telling it to do.

At your age, Paul you should begin to see rapid improvement, providing your method is correct.

At your age it is imperative that you have a sound method, as a poor method will only give years of heartache. Good luck.

I don't set myself personal targets I tend to take each shot one at a time. I find that if I play for certain scores say break 100 or 95 or 90 it will go pear shaped.

So I just weigh up the situation and go with what is best "for me" and let any target score take care of itself..

Eventually fingers crossed I will crack 90 regularly but it is not a personal target really, if it happens it happens..

I had the same problem yesterday Wayne. Shots going to the left at 85 degrees (left handed player) so maybe I should watch the hips - cheers for that Wayne.

With a leftie and a rightie Wayne we could take the world..

Left left quick quick right......
