Going backwards :(

Posted by: user406037 | Wed 31st Aug 2011 19:54 | Last Reply

Just wondering if anybody is or has been in the same situation as myself at the moment,

I have started to play alot more often recently and have started hitting down on the ball more and more,

Chipping and putting use to be the best part of my game but just recently as my irons have got better my Chipping and putting have gone completely down hill.

It just feels as if i'm taking 1 step forwards and 2 steps back.

Any advice for me or is this just the way golf is lol.

Cheers for the response Stephen, its so frustrating when i thought everything is looking good an then suddenly feel like im going backwards now.

I have started to play in the weekly roll up and been stuggling to get a few pars together, when i play on my own or with a friend i will be getting 5 or 6 a round.

Oh well onwards and upwards, might look into the lessons as you stated might be a good idea.

Cheers

This happens to all of us at some time during the golfing season.

Keep plugging away and it will all come back to how it was, or if you practice better than it was!

My problem is that I play all through the winter months just to keep my game going for when the better weather turns up.

The only problem is that when the better weather turns up my game goes backwards!

Roll on October!!!!
