Universal tips??!!
golf is full of opinion in my experience..some people give it casually but some far too forcefully......some say swing this way..swing that way...(jim furyk??)...tempo steady yet some are slow back and quick through?..some say clubs make a huge difference..some dont..some say ball middle to back of stance for shorter irons...some say lean on left foot for pitches but back foot with shaft lean for longer irons...grips are all varied as is pressure...
is it whatever works for you? does it depend if your happy as you are or want to get better?? do you need to do certain things or youl never get better consistently?? all pros have different methods.......
in your opinion are there any universal tips for playing golf that are more than just opinion? something you can get in your mind regardless of shot to have some positivity regardless of your playing style? ..... for me keeping your head still and down and swinging through the ball are two of these but i wondered if there are any other nailed on generics that shouldnt differ regardless of playing style???....... And if so we should bullet point them!

Ivan?
Your an interesting guy..I always look forward to your posts as a newbie to this forum...i cant work out whether you love or hate the game..your interesting regardless..
and adrian after some of the things ive been told then saying breathe seems very mainstream and yeah guess that comes as part of a routine..no set way of breathing tho as thats maybe individual, long breaths before swinging etc?

There is a tip I give to people who seem to be struggling with a certain club for example 4 iron. I tell them to think about a good shot they have hit with this club and keep this in mind when they address the ball. Positive thinking!!!! I did get told that riflemen exhale just before they pull the trigger. Something to do with being more relaxed and less jittery. Tried it while putting and it does seem to work. 2 tips there that may just work for you.
