Celtic manor

Hello, I stumbled across this site and thought some of you would be able to put my mind at rest about something.

Me and some friends are playing the Montgomery and roman road courses at celtic manor in October. We range from 18 to 28 handicappers.

After a round on our local course yesterday we were in the bar discussing the trip.

Someone mentioned about how far the average carry off the tee is likely to be.

The yardage being talked about began to concern some of us less big hitters!

Having not seen the courses (or the rough) I'd like an idea of what sort of distances i need to hit.

Keeping it straight isn't a problem!

Any thoughts will be gratefully received.

Ben

Never played the courses you mention but I have played about 100 courses and never came across a carry of more than abot 170 yds without a lay up point. ( off yellows ). Im sure this will develop into whos got the longest carry hole at their course.

Dave CAC handed Geordie.
