Anyone played this format?

Multiplication stableford

Played it the other day & must say I thought it was a pants format. What happens is that you play in a 4 man team & after every hole you multiply the scores. So lets say everone scores a nett par it would be 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 = 16 BUT if 1 player blobs then it would 2 x 2 x 2 x 0 = 0!!! So on a few occasions 3 of us hit drives straight down the middle & then the other one hit it OB. No point carrying on playing the hole!!!

On a few occasions it can go right, on the SI 1 hole I got birdie, 2 others got net eagle & the other net birdie so 4 x 4 x 4 x 3 = 192 !!

So who fancies playing this??

Golf is how many strokes, not points, stableford used to be just a fun competition, now it seems as though it is sacrosanct.
