Wedding Rings

Posted by: user388727 | Thu 21st Jul 2011 19:43 | Last Reply

Hi everyone

Quick question. I got married last week and am unsure whether to leave my wedding ring on while playing golf. What do you think?

Obviously, it's covered by the glove on the left hand (as I'm right-handed) -- but could it interfere with the grip or is that just nonsense?

Would appreciate hearing what other people do.

Thanks,

Neil

I'm married, but I don't wear a wedding ring!

I've never, ever seen anybody take off their wedding ring to play golf.

Maybe there are people who do it, but I've never noticed them doing it.

I also think that if you are wearing a glove then a wedding ring won't make much difference to your game.

I leave mine on, have built up a nice callous undermeath so not a problem.  Can remember when I first wore it it felt wierd, but I wasn't playing golf much then but riding a motorcycle had the same effect of building the hard skin up.

Leave it on. I used to wear a ring on my right 3rd finger and take that one off when I played golf as it did interfere with my interlocking grip but always kept the wedding ring on. Put it in golf bag as I always did but came to put it back on after a round once only to find it had disappeared, must have fallen out when I was rumaging around for another tee or something. I nearly lost my car keys on the course once doing something similar. Luckily the group behind spotted them and handed them back. Don't take anything of any value like that with me on to the course anymore.
