Darren Clarke, 140th Open Champion

Congratulations to Darren Clarke on becoming the 140th Open Champion.
I watched him play on Thursday and he was very good. Handled the weather conditions very well indeed.
Then, I've been sat in front of the box all day watching the coverage, and he's been the master again.
It does look like all that practice he's had in Northern Ireland has helped him with this week's tournament. Today, apart from the two shots that bounced over some bunkers, he's looked in control despite the wind and rain.
If he hadn't taken a bogey on the last hole he would have been the only player to break 70 for each round of golf.
A well deserved win, and from what I've heard a nice bloke as well.
