no-1 - decent fairways & greens

no - 2 - not too expensive or if so, do deals like 2 fore 1  or price comes down after 1pm

no - 3 - variety of holes, ie; dog leg right and dog leg left, water on some, elevated greens, risk/reward holes like short par fours where where you can have a go at driving it, but if you fail you get punished. Basically not just the same boring hole after hole, you know what they say variety is the spice of life.

1. Greens -

If you have poor greens, it completely ruins the whole golfing experience. Nothing worse hitting a great approach shot, only to have to 3 putt or more because there are bumps and potholes all over the place!

2. Scenery -

Nothing better than to walk around a golf course with beautiful landscapes and scenery. Water features and feature holes make some courses stand out from the others. Just look at the 17th at Pebble Beach!
