Green side Bunker Flops

Hi all,

A little help requierd if anyone can help. Ive never really been sure of the correct way to flop out of a green side bunker. Some say to take plenty of sand, others say to try and take it clean. Another way i was shown was to really open the club face and try to cut through the sand about an inch before the ball but i find this thins it more often than not.

Any advice would be greatly received....
