Business Idea
Morning fellow golfers,
I am currently in the process of starting a corporate golf company, organising golf days for businesses up and down the country. I know such companies already exsist but I feel there is room for growth in this market and our company will be able to offer something special.
So can anyone with any ideas of what companies to target, what marketing to use and ideas to make the day extra special please reply to this post. I have many great ideas to get my business off the ground but I'm a strong believer of two minds being better than one.
So any help is much appreciated.

Danny, professional offices are always a good place to market. Many an accountant/solicitor would be happy taking staff/clients for a corporate knock about which ends in a bite to eat etc.
Prizes, but these must be geared so that the not so regular golfer can also stand a chance of winning something - best none golfer score wins a meal for two at "XX", bearing in mind that the non golfing winner would not want a golfing prize of say a sleeve of balls anyway.
Corporate fun day. Golfer/non golfer partnership. The golfer takes all tee and fairway shots and the non golfer makes all putts. Prizes for longest drive, nearest the pin and lowest number of putts.
Corporate mixed day. Bring your wife, girlfriend, mistress, civil partner, boyfriend for a fantastic golfing bonanza. Let the ladies/civil partners relax in our 1/2 price massage and make over suites whilst the guys take to the course. Remember to compliment the "make overs" when returning from the course before being escorted to the dining area for your evening meal and prize giving. The twist is that it is the wife, girlfriend, mistress, civil partner, boyfriend of the golfer who wins the prize - not the winning golfer. The prizes should therefore be of a non golfing nature.
Maybe....

Sounds good Danny. How about Father/Mother, Son/Daughter days. Where a junior can play a competitive round with either parent. I like the idea of golf days where your spouse can come along and enjoy the day.
If you wanted to go really flash, you could setup a day with the full works.
Leader board, scorer boards that walk round with the golfers, you know like the pros have. Nice big fancy trophies, like a claret jug, thats engraved with the winner each year.

Danny,
In no particular order;
- caddies / course management guides etc.
- I know that there is currently someone out there that provides really good looking woman caddies for corporate days & it seems to be taking off, maybe you could piggy-back onto that?
- swing analysis at the half way house
- lunch bags with business cards / fliers etc
John.

Just picking on John's train of photo.
Professional photographers or film crew would be good. At some stage I hope to bring along someone to a golfshake.com event with the sole purpose of taking photos/filming swings.
Also specialist photgraphers will now take a 12 frame photo which captures your swing in 12 pictures which can then be framed up as a memento of the day. In most cases the actual event rather than the swing
