off to my first comp tonight, 

silly question but how do i fi

Don't worry, you should be playing with someone I guess who's played in comps before.  They will let you know what to do.

You will find you have to swap cards with one of your partners in the group and record their score.  Just enter their score in the player 1/a boxes and you record your own in the marker boxes.

My 1st ever comp seen me score 22 points off 30 handicap over 18 holes so don't worry - get your "mind set" fixed on beating 14 points at next comp.

I have a comp tomorrow and my "mind set" is to beat 31 points off 20 handicap (best comp score for me this year). I will be well happy with a 32 point return and if that's in the winners enclosure (which I doubt ) well, that's just a bonus.

"Enjoy what the course gives you today for it will be either better or worse tomorrow"".....Robbie chapter 3 verse 16...
