Golf Consumables Price or Feel Poll

Posted by: user10367 | Thu 7th Jun 2007 14:33 | Last Reply

I'm asking this question because we all know that we think more about what we're doing when it comes to Equipment, our Irons/Driver/Putter/Wedges are going to last us a couple of years or more!!!!, but what's the general consensus when we start looking to replace Gloves, Balls, tee's etc.

Do you buy your gloves because you've always had that type/name/style or is because their cheap/dear. Have you ever tried a £15:00 (Kasco) glove against a £2:99 American Golf one to see/feel the difference??? would you notice any difference do you think???

Likewise with your balls????

Tees, do you only prefer a certain type/colour/size.???

Glove:- Normally spend about a fiver, usually footjoy and usually black

Balls:- Callaway Warbirds because i once hit one well and am just waiting to do it again

Tees:- Only wooden and plain only. dont like the mark painted ones leave on the clubs and anything other than wood or paper just dosnt sit right with me as they will not degrade even after the mower has chewed them up.

"I get through gloves Footjoy Weathersof/Ping Micro Fibre at a rate of about 2 or 3 a week "

Surely that must be a typo, I dont think ive used that many yet, you have a serious glove fetish my freind i suggest you seek some help or perhaps your holding the club upside down

Try chainmail or garden gloves

Being left handed I tend to buy gloves that are there rather than a particular brand.

But to be honest a glove lasts me months playing once a week and I always get one for xmas which, I am about to change tomorrow for a ram glove.

Balls well, if I have an expensive ball in my bag then I have found it. I usually buy 12 or 15 for a tenner kind of deal but not too fussed on make. The good found balls are kept for comps.

Now tee's, I like the graduated lift tees but this is because they suite my new driver best ( 385cc head ). Before that and for my 3 wood I used a blue brush tee. For my 18* utility I use a yellow castle tee and for irons I use a blue castle tee and for my 7 wood I use a red castle tee.
