2011 looks set to be a great year for a diverse range of golf events. Just finalising the Golfshake plans but also check out the Gtour event which I help run/promote and looks set to be something special.

Gschool - Launch Event Free Coaching Session

The  2011 launch event will see the 1st ever Gschool which will take place on the 18th February and will be a full days golf coaching with 2 of the UK's best golf coaches.   

Despite the name sounding like Q-school this is not a competitive round, no points are gained from this day and there is no obligation to take part. This event is free and our season opener in what looks set to be a great year ahead. 

Working with Adam Sprackling of Single Minded Golf who came to the Wokefield Park Gtour event in 2010 and Neil Plimmer who is recognised as 1 of the UK's top 25 golf coaches by Golf Monthly Magazine.

2011 Gtour Race to Cyprus Format

Building on 2 very successful tournaments in 2009 and 2010, the Gtour Order of Merit will be renamed ‘The Race to Cyprus’ following renewed partnership with De Vere, Srixon, Golfbreaks.com, Bunker Mentality, Aphrodite Hills and for 2011 the Cyprus Tourism Organisation.  The top 10 players will earn the right to compete in the grand final at Aphrodite Hills Cyprus.

The tour starts in February at De Vere Staverton Park on Saturday 19th building up to the UK semi final at De Vere Belton Woods in November.

We have received lots of questions regarding the format of the Gtour, our rules on handicaps and other questions. • Open to all golfers, both non and club golfers
• No joining fee, pay for individual events only
• No handicap restriction max 28 and 36 for men and women respectively
• Play in individual or multiple events off 3/4 handicaps
• Venues and events around the UK
• 2 tier handicap system plus female division
• Event position sets points towards Order of Merit
• Best 3 events count towards Order of Merit
• UK Semi final places are from the 2 tiers
• UK Semi final for top 52
• Top 10 compete in Grand Final at Aphrodite Hills in Cyprus
