Graphite Shaft fault question

Posted by: user46817 | Tue 22nd May 2007 15:53 | Last Reply

On my driver the shaft has chafed through some of the graphite as if clubs had been rubbing against it! I have always used the headcover and made sure that the clubs didn't touch the shaft so I am at a loss where this came from.

I presume this will have an affect the club?

Also on the face of the driver the is a slight cut (in the middle of the sweet-spot, it can't have been me).

I bought at American Discount golf and the salesman mentioned the the head had a lifetime guarantee but I think it was if it breaks.

Does anybody know about such a guarantee? Or am I hallucinating?

It's a Taylormade R7 460 bought last July.
