The big 300!!

Posted by: user21308 | Sat 23rd Oct 2010 20:44 | Last Reply

Logged my 300th round on Golfshake today. I've been a member since September 2005 so that’s an average of 50 plus rounds a year logged in just over 5 years. Quite a milestone and it has been good to see how my game has improved over all that time thanks to Golfshake.

Today's round was a good'un too. Shot 82 for 40 points off my club handicap of 17 at Frome Golf Club in the end of year competition for the year’s weekly winners and runners up, the John Scott Trophy. The last Major of the year. Despite playing the whole round in the pouring rain I was leader in the club house for over two hours. One of the later players, three groups from the end, came in with 42 points to beat me though. To say I was disappointed, if not a little gutted would be understating it. sadhttp://www.golfshake.com/scripts/ckeditor/plugins/smiley/images/sad_smile.gif" title="sad" />

But, that's golf and the later groups had much the better weather. Second out of 75 players...pretty bloody good, especially in the conditions I played in.

I'd just like to add a  big thank you to Darren and his team for an excellent website and I look forward to posting my next 300 rounds smileyhttp://www.golfshake.com/scripts/ckeditor/plugins/smiley/images/regular_smile.gif" title="smiley" />
