Golfshake event (Wokefield Park) including prizes - 29th May 2007

Final few places are still available, register today to take part. 

 

Take part in an organised golf event by golfshake.com. The first golfshake.com society day is now planned for Tuesday 29th May (day after Bank Holiday) at Wokefield Park near Reading. The organised event is open to all golfshake.com members and is from £25 to enter which includes coffee, bacon roll on arrival, 18 hole competition including longest drive and nearest the pin, followed by results and prizes.

We have also managed to get a fantastic deal for the Monday night through Golfbreaks.com, our travel partners, of dinner B&B and a round of golf on the Monday from only £54 pp. Take advantage and enjoy a long, long weekend!

Bring a friend and make a long weekend of it. You also benefit from a bit of inside knowledge of the track before you play it in anger on the Tuesday!

 

Wokefield Park Information

Wokefield Park is a championship golf course designed to PGA standards. This superb parkland layout boasts elevated tees, mature trees, streams and nine lakes providing a challenging game to golfers of all standards in a beautiful countryside setting. There are also excellent practice facilities onsite with a driving range, large putting green and short game areas.

The accommodation is of 4 star standard offering comfortable en-suite bedrooms, all set in 250 acres of charming countryside, providing an ideal setting for a relaxing stay. Times :

08:30-08:45 - Registration
08:30-09:15 - Tea, coffee and bacon rolls on arrival

09:30-10:15 - Two tee start for upto 64 players in 16 fourballs

15:00-15:30 - Results and Prizes

Format :

Individual stableford competition
Longest drive 18th
Nearest the pin 8th

To register login and access the public events from the events section and select the golfshake.com open on the 29th May. The event is open to all and is a great way to meet other golfers and play in a friendly and fun competition.

Like we can take the weather forecasts to be correct.  They can't even get the next day right, never mind 10 days away

For anyone interested I have extened the society message boards so that indivdual competitions can also have a message board.
