Golf in Florida - any recommendations?????
Hello all!
Am luck enough to head out to Florida in October - just wondering if anyone has any recommendations for courses in/around Orlando area?
Was out here last year but only got to a couple of courses.
Cheers :-)

You must play the Blue Monster Doral, in Miame great course, even better with a caddy (a bit expensive but I thaught was well worth the experience.

There are a few real crackers out there.
Ones that spring to mind are Harmony Golf Club with probably the best greens in the area,
Shingle Creek in very nice not far from international drive.
There are two at Orange County National. We played Crooked Cat of the back tees for a laugh. A crazy 7493 yards long. Great fun though to see how the pros do it.
Southern Dunes has more bunkers than you'll see on ten normal courses added together, some of which cover the length of the hole !!!!!!!
The courses down at Championsgate are fantastic as well.
Just remember to ask in a few of the shops such as Edwin Watts for a book of discount vouchers. can really make a huge difference.

I can second Orange County National. I played the Panther Lake course there and still think it was one of the best courses I've ever played. I'd definitely play it again if I was back in the area

I did Magnolia as I wanted "play the same course as the pros" when I had not long been playing (used for the Funai Classic). Nice course, well kept and quite challenging with quick, tricky and sneaky greens. Make sure you get a picture of the Mickey Mouse bunker on the par 3 if you play it
