Clubs off Ebay

Posted by: user30119 | Thu 10th May 2007 21:31 | Last Reply

Hi

As anybody had a good/bad experience buying counterfit clubs from ebay and how the hell can you know what you are buying?

Ive spotted a Talyormade R7 460 that is classed as used and in 9/10 condition, how can I find out if the club is a cheap mock up?

The only way is to check out the feedback,i have bought a good few club's from ebay, but only from sellers who have lot's of good feedback.I think, most of the dodgy gear is sold by newbie's in it for a fast buck.Buy local so you can check it out before handing over your reddies.

Thanks, this seller as only got a score of 20 and he seems to deal in many different types of drivers and golf clothes etc.

Was going to email and ask him straight but he aint going to tell me its fake is he?

Thanks guys you have all been a great help. I seem really but off with buying from ebay because like you have said the fakes can be a good quality.

Think I may email the seller and ask if he has the serial number for the driver.

Well just a follow up, I emailed the seller requesting the serial and maybe a reciept but never heard anything back. The item has now finished and I also noticed the seller didnt accept via Paypal just cheques or standing order.

I dont doubt that there is good buys to be had but what a mine field. Think I might just bite the bullet and buy it off the shelf so I know what i'm buying.

Christopher ive asked this in anothor post but do you know how AmericanGolf measure your distance inthe net? Is it yards or metres?

Cheers Christopher think I might pop down there tomorrow to try some drivers out but keep a open mind regarding the on-screen results. Kind of got my heart set onthe Talyormade R7 460 so I'm now thinking its best to buy brand new from a pro shop or AmericanGolf etc.
