Playng Through In Nightmare Style

Posted by: user50354 | Mon 7th May 2007 12:40 | Last Reply

Playing yesterday, out for the exercise, patter and golf we had a 3 ball behind us who where playing at a much faster pace. Half way down the fairway the guy's were already waiting at the tee so we walked to the side of the fairway and waved them through.

Two of the guys where up to us and past in no time but the other guy well, no matter what he did it went wrong 6 shots and he still wasn't up to us, the head was drooping the walk said "I wish I was some where else".

We felt so sorry for him but eventually he made it to the green and off he went in persuit of his buddies who, didn't appear to hang around for him.

Then, whilst we were on the green the guy appeared again, having tee'd off and some how sent his shot back onto our fairway - his ball must have took a straight left after leaving the tee and soared over tree's before landing about 100 yards away. We just could not understand how he managed to hit it where he did..

This has got me thinking back to when I first started playing and was waved through, only to showed those waiting golfers how to knock up a steady 10 to the green. Standing over the ball, heart belting, praying "please ball move forward", wack, damn, help..

So have you managed to entertain waiting golfers as you hack your way past after being waved through...??
