Best Driver for High Handicapper
Hi
I'm looking for a new driver but its a bit of a minefield. I'm a high handicapper and not a big hitter (about 200 yards with my cheap starter driver). I don't want to spend a fortune but appreciate that you get what you pay for so I guess I'd be looking at a middle of the road priced club
Any ideas on which drivers to look at would be greatly received

Depends on what your budget is I have just bought the Taylormade R7 460 Draw version for £149.99 inc headcover from online golf. This club just oozes confidence & I don't even have to think about hitting it straight.
You should also read the reviews on the todays golfer website where you will find more than enough information to help you. And then there is always E-bay for a bargain.

HI Garry.
Good advise from John - i posted you might wanna read the golf magazine (sorry didnt realise the reviews were on the website as well) - you may wanna delete the other duplicate posts...lol
John - do you get different weight sizes with that driver ?? currently I use a big bertha 454 (had it about one and a half years) its a good driver but obviously not as good as the newer models on the market.

Garry I think you need to go in on each post and theres a delete post option there.
Garry dont know where abouts you are but here in Leics at the local club you can try a few drivers out on the range before you buy, dont be daft like me and just buy from a golf shop !

Alps,
The R7 460 Draw is permanently set up for a draw, it you want one where you can tinker with the weights then the new Taylormade SuperQuad is the one, there a 4 moveable weights & you can play to your hearts content. There priced at around £239.
John.
