Strokes

Posted by: user9692 | Thu 9th Jun 2005 08:37 | Last Reply

Hi Darren When choosing edit for previous rounds it shows the stableford score but in the strokes box it doesnt show my correct handicap. I would think they need to be the same to correctly calculate the stableford score.

Do I need to edit all previous rounds to match strokes to handicap?

Thanks

Hi when you choose the edit option the strokes should be the strokes entered when you initially entered the round up to you if you wish to alter.

If you didn't set an initial handicap then the strokes would default to the max values for man and woman ie 28 and 36. This would only be the case until your handicap is set within the system.

The strokes option allows you to enter a different value than your handicap for stableford points calculation, this is especially relevant to competition where you quite often play of 3/4 handicaps rather than full.

Darren.
