South East Qualifier

This time next Sunday everyone who is playing the GolfShake 2010 Open South East Qualifier will be at Stapleford Abbotts Golf Club.

The first tee time is 1pm and at this moment we have twenty eight confirmed players.  I'm leaving one more tee time open, so the next four people who pay their deposit will be in.

Work have called me in early today so I'll have to get the game information out to all the players early in the week.

I have some 2-4-1 vouchers if anybody wants to have a practice round.  I know there are some serious people out there who have taken advantage of having a practice round.

I am not going to be sorting the groups out until the day as I need everyone there before the first tee time so I can arrange to collect everyones money.  Please come and find me as the club want me to pay them the balance on the day.

We have 33 players registered to play this coming Sunday.

One player has paid his deposit but it's not showing in my bank at the moment, as soon as it's in there we will have 34 players.

That means there are still two places to fill.

I have sent everyone who is confirmed some information on the game.  Just simple things like how impolite it is to beat your host on his home course, etc!!!

If your name isn't down and you want to play then get it down quick.

Played seven holes there today as a practice but came off as it was so busy!!!

Tees are fair to good, fairways are dry and brown and the greens are good.

Hopefully the weather will be kind to us on Sunday.

It's really hot here at the moment and there is a bit of a breeze.

This means that most of the people playing tomorrow will be struggling!   

I have ordered some heavy rain for tomorrow afternoon.

Plus, I've also decided to have the temperature drop significantly.  This will mean all those people turning up in shorts and polo shirts will be cold all afternoon.

Add onto these factors the most important one, that you should never, ever beat your host on his home course (I'll say that again, YOU should NEVER, EVER beat your host on his home course).  Things are looking good for me tomorrow.

I'm aiming to get up there for 11am, have a breakfast and then get set-up ready for the participants to arrive.
