Always try and play one shot at the time, dont think too much about the next, and let go of the last, wether good or bad.

I have recently been given a tip which is "breath in on the back swing"..

Not tried it yet but will give it a go this sunday..

Another one was "keep the club as far away from your ears during the swing"..This gives a wider ark.

Hiya Robbie, yeah ive heard that one mentioned a few times on tv also.

I cant help thinking wouldnt it be funny if there was a golfer who played like a tennis player (you know with all the grunts at impact) lol

Yeah, maybe I should grunt a bit - just as I chip so my partners are in hearing distance..

1. On long putts try to get the ball into a circle about the size of a dustbin lid around the hole instead of the cup.  A bigger target reduces the amount of three putts for me.

2. Count 1, 2, 3 on your swing, 1 on takeaway, 2 top of stroke, 3 impact.  Helps me keep a rhythm.

3. Never trust a woman who wears tights under trousers.

I remember someone recently saying a swing should be a Jodie Kidd not a Kate Moss - first name backswing, last name downswing and impact.

Not sure if the Jodie Kidd is the right name but it fits the philosophy and she is my perfect woman (excepting the wife of course) so hey-ho.

That said Kate Moss works for some!
