Club Alterations.....

I know that you are able to get clubs shortened.......

Does anyone know if it is possible to have clubs made longer?

Yes it is.  They effectively stick an extra bit to the end of the shaft under the grip

Thats the problem i have got Matt.

I have my set that I started playing with...and although in time i will get a custom fit set I think having my current clubs made longer would be more cost effective. Also i have grown attached to them.

There's a company called Club Craft that has branches across the UK that will do this for you.  Golfsmith are also very good.  Alternatively you could ask our own Dave Ley to have a look for you.  He comes highly recommended and if he's doing your clubs he's not building even more for himself.  Apparently his garage is better stocked than most pro shops!

The only thing I will say is DON'T ADD MORE THAN 2 1/2" using the plug method. No reputable Club-maker will, because it is very dangerous to have a plug that length.

Depending on how much longer you need them you will have to take into account that your swing weight will go up and your lies will need adjusting,
