training grips

anyone ever used a training grip ? if so what was the result . all views very welcome

I bought a training grip many years ago.
Then I purchased a blade club (9 iron I think) with a stiff shaft.
Had the grip fitted to the club and I used to practice with this club on a regular basis.
It was very good in the fact that you could only hold the club in the correct way.
