Putts By Handicap

Posted by: user50354 | Tue 24th Apr 2007 08:25 | Last Reply

Is there any way of calculating (roughly) the number of putts you would expect a certain handicap to shoot or is it just a case of 2 putts per hole for everybody..?

Playing off 21 at the weekend I shot 37 putts - would this be a high or low score or about right...

This is where the Virtual Leaderboard will help, once tweaked, and some new stuff I am working.

In theory you can then compare you stats to that of other members with the same sort of handicap.  Just tweaking at present to weed out the duff information.

Aye , it looks like some have mis-read the question slightly when entering putts..

But looking down the VLB I think the 16 h/c ish recording 30 ish putts seems to be the norm which probably makes my h/c to putts ratio about right (for my last round anyway)..

I just need to chip it closer now to get that h/c down a bit...

Looking forward to the VLB when it is tweaked - will make interesting reading...

Actually looking again at the VLB for putts I am probably below average for my h/c which is great feed back and what the VLB is all about - for me anyway...
