So Proud I just had to post.....

Posted by: user48641 | Sat 21st Apr 2007 17:06 | Last Reply

Sorry guys, This may be way off the usual topics on here - but I just got back this morning with my 6 year old sons from his usual saturday morning golf class.  For the first time ever his instructor took him and 2 other lads (aged 9 and 11) onto the last par 3, 131 yard hole.  I managed to record it all and put a lil video together - they played off red tees as they are still juniors, but I hope you will enjoy watching him shoot a four.....I think its awesome....

(ps, Darren - if this is a bit off - then let me know i'll remove, no harm intended)

Nice one alps. You're right to be proud, he's got a nice tempo to his swing.

I take my 8 year  old son out on a par 3 course near us. He shot 39 the other day. 2 pars. I was very proud of him.

Thats what I love about the game Philip.

I've edited the post. He's 8 years old.

You can just about see him in the bay behind me.

lol thanks guys,

Danny that 39 is an awesome score, my sons best is 44, I tell him to just treat every hole as a par 4, (blimey its hard enough for me to hit em in 3...lol),  You should get your som in on that competition he looks like hes hot a fantastic swing...Im sure he would do really well in his age category.

Jason - I wish I could wait for 4 or 5 years - that above 4 on that hole cost me a junior trolley a as a present (just like his old man too lazy to carry his clubs lol)

Chris - Its great to know that there are still some good clubs out there that teach the kids - yeah I totally agree with the fact they do things so simply as they dont have a care about it...you should see videos of the bunker shots my son hits - makes it look such a doddle.....

Tell you what though Chris the problems Ive had with junior clubs have been a right pain, my sons only just turned 6 and as you can see hes not the biggest of kids,  last place i went to were so pushy in trying to get me to buy a kids callaway full set for £199,  Bunch of prats !

ps, dont wanna spam this site but if you do wanna see some more clips of the mini woods theyre on here ......
