First sub 100 round
Just returned home a very happy chap after posting my best ever score, 97. The society played a stapleford foremat and i carded 38 points.
Before the round i asked the organisers to adjust my handicap from the society 35 to my new club handicap of 28, and therefore missed out on first prize, 44 points won the event.
Question now is how long before i break the 100 again?

Congratulations, Robert. I am quite sure that you will progress pretty quickly now that you have managed to do it once. I remember it took me five rounds to break a 100 and I did not go over it again for fifty years.

Well done Rob, great feeling isn't it? Don't feel bad about not winning either, getting 38 points means that you played just below your handicap, if you'd have shot 45 to win it wouldn't feel half as satisfying.
I can't remember when I broke 100 for the first time really, but this for you is when the fun starts. Next it will be to consistently shoot below 100 (and you'll get really jerked off when you stick in a 101!), then it'll be sub 90, then sub 85 and so it will continue.
And that's the beauty of the game, it doesn't matter if you have a good or a bad round, the next has got to be better!

Well done Rob
It seemed to take me years to break 100 but was the best feeling. 1st and only eagle was close but breaking 90 wasn't so mutch of a big deal. My problem before I broke the ton was I would count my shots on the 18th tee so I would know what I had to do. BIG MISTAKE. I need a 6 to get 99, I would score a 7. I need a 5 to shoot a 99 I would score a 6 etc etc...
After the fist time you will do it time and time again.
My next big one is to break 80.

Congratulations on breaking 100 for the first time.
I remember many years ago when I first started playing golf.
The number of rounds I played that were 100, 101, 102, etc, but I couldn't break the magic 100.
Then, suddenly I did it.
And low and behold, I did it again the very next round I played!
Once you've done it you know you can do it, so just keep playing and I'm sure it will happen again soon.

Congrats. ( belated ) Nearly there myself. Hit 100 and have just recently hit 101. So close.
Can't wait to get back out.
Congrats again.
