Golf - Team Play Advice?

Hello, just firstly I am new to here so i dont know if this has been mentioned yet, I doubt it has.
I like to play both forms of Golf - Individual and Pairs. In Individual only I can determine how well I am going to play and what my score is going to be. I really enjoy pairs aswell really as its different and as theyre non qualifying competitions in terms of handicap - then I sort of have nothing to lose really.
But in Pairs, I rarely seem to do any good - regardless of my partner. I am off 15 now - and I'll be honest - all these times I havent played badly at all. Is there any secrets or advice as to playing pairs. Mainly Foursomes!
I have a forusomes match this midweek and was hoping anyone had some useful tips before I play then :D
