How hard is golf ?

Posted by: user11216 | Sun 8th Apr 2007 12:17 | Last Reply

Just been practising  hitting wedges and chipping for 90 minutes. No big stuff cos ive realised that if Tiger Woods with the best equipment in the world practising every day still hits it 40 yards wide wot hope have i got. I played some lovely crisp shots and then did some great chips but the PRESSURE was off. Any good players on here have any tips for keeping my swing smooth and my arms relaxed. What do you think about when taking the club back. Have you got a pre set routine that helps ? Do you think if i start thinking of pepperoni pizza it will take the pressure off ? Anything ? I wanna improve my short game NOW !!!!!

I watched this golf instructor on a golf channel and he was saying you should hum (yes as in mmmm) on your backswing and your follow through, the idea is you maintain the humming at a steady pace - ie: if your humming becomes eractic when you strike the ball then your swing is not smooth enough and neither is your tempo.  flippin heck this is getting scary im almost stating to beleive i know what im talking about...
