Start Of The Golf Season

Posted by: user20126 [FORUM MODERATOR] | Thu 18th Feb 2010 14:29 | Last Reply

When, or what do you consider to be the 'Start' of the golfing season.

For me it's the Masters on TV.

Once that tournament starts I know the golfing season has started.

In the UK we have different weather patterns so it is possible to have a warm spell before the Masters starts, but for me that's just a bit of luck on our part.

So what is your trigger for the start of the golfing season?

Russ

I don't stop Russ - I just plough on (sometimes literally) through the winter....

Same here, I only stop when the courses are closed.

Don't stop playing throughout the winter months, but I always say when I tee up on the summer tees for the first time.  Traditionally April 1st. But it seems it may be earlier this year as they have cut and rolled the tees already.

Getting really excited about the new season this year!  I have to drive past my golf club to get to work, so I'll be popping in for more after school evening golf this year!

I play all year around and in some pretty poor weather/course conditions.

But I do this just to keep my swing in 'The Groove'
