Southwood Golf Club is a friendly environment to learn to play and enjoy a game of golf. As a council owned facility, Southwood endorses ‘sport for all’ in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Joining the golf club couldn’t be easier and we run a mentor programme so finding someone to play with and/or gaining a handicap is as easy as 9-iron to the green!!

The clubhouse has a wide screen TV, and a fully stocked bar making the 19th hole a welcome sight after an enjoyable round. A function room catering for all styles of parties, special events and meetings, is available to hire so you don’t have to go far for that all important celebration.

Individual or group lessons can be provided by our PGA qualified professional, Chris Hudson. Society golfers are most welcome and our green fees are very competitive, from £18.20 Adults £10.85 Seniors. Chris could include a golf clinic as part of your society day and will help you with your competition prizes
