after 4 months Im VERY HAPPY !!

Hiya all

Well, finally, after a long four months I finally got out onto a golf course.  Playing in a four ball I set my challange saying that I would be happy to break 100 due to the long lay off.  My other partner also not having played for 4months said the same - whilst the other 2 werent too bothered (especially as 1 of them plays every week and is a member of the course).  On the first tee the three others managed to hit their drives straight down the fairway (just my luck) anyway armed with a new attitude and secret weapon I stepped up and managed to top my shot about 100 yards down the fairway....(course it wasnt embarrasing as there was only about 10 people watching, as opposed to the usual 30 odd waiting and looking on from the clubhouse upstairs).  Anyways all was not lost as I still managed to bogey the first hole. 

Final results without boring you all were as follows:

Front nine I was 11 over, Back nine only 4 over = total 15 over par shooting an 85, ok I didnt shoot the lowest as the other guy shot an 82 (it is a par70 course by the way), but still  after 4 months Im happy with that.  Chances are as usual it will be all down hill from here, but Im gonna try and stay positive and see if I can keep a solid run going.

If you seen my post about reducing my handicap down then I know its still to early to say but I guess Im off to the right start !!  Short game guys thats what its all about, I only three putted once.

Let's hope that handicap keeps tumbling before the Count Challenge gets under way

Well playing again this friday at the same course so we will see.......  fingers crossed yeah !!  lol
