Let's get ready to rumble. To much hype ?

Posted by: user8 [FORUM MODERATOR] | Sat 7th Nov 2009 21:48 | Last Reply

Not golf related but hey ho.

Boxing - Values vs Haye - over hyped ?

Would love to pay to watch but feel like I would just be being drawn into the hype of David vs Goliath.

Therefore sat listening to Radio 5

The moment it went 'Pay to veiw' I lost all interest.

I had a couple of mates when I was a coal miner and they loved boxing.

Bruno v Tyson was the first 'Pay to view' boxing match and I told them, if enough people pay to watch it every fight will be 'Pay to view'.  If nobody paid then they wouldn't bother.

I agree Russ.  Not really a classic pretty much a circus show given size difference so no real test of skill of boxing display.

Hype/marketing pushed the David vs Goliath etc etc and sell sell sell the PPV.  Thankfully I didn't get sucked in, although could regret if it becomes a epic.
