Just joined my first Golf Club

After finally deciding that this golf bug aint going away (only took 6 months as well), realising that I am spending nearly �80 a month on Green Fees, the summer beckoning (I get six weeks off for the summer - being a teacher and golf goes together quite well!).

I have decided to plunge �615 into my local golf club - I am over the moon with it! Got March for free, so thats free golf till the end of march 2008!

Got my Membership Card and already booked in for Friday, Competition Saturday for our Society as well, 2 rounds in 2 days - love it!

Just joined my first Golf Club last week. Played on Saturday and was wowed!!! A cracking course (the other one is good apparently too!), with great facilities. Greetham Valley in Rutland.

Played really well, for me, too which is a massive bonus.

Just need to tell the wife now!! Ouch!!

Good luck telling the wife!   I must admit its the best decision I have made since buying my clubs.  Really looking forward to the summer!

Hiya Guys

Im hoping to be joiniung up at humberstone heights in Leicester next week (subject to the dam snow....) got loads of time off planned in the next 3 weeks ( (11 days) so plan to play everyday........not bad actually its only £440 and that entitles me 7 days golf anytime and also includes playing at another course in leicester (western park), as they are both council run.  But hey they are nice courses and only 5 minutes from my house.........

Good news is wifes paying for it as an early birthday pressy !!

Bad news is she will probably expect something nice in return !! LOL
