driver

Posted by: user119312 | Sun 4th Oct 2009 12:04 | Last Reply

over the last to rounds my driver has had a very dull sound to it

and my driving was going quite well

but me and my dad both checked it to see if there were any cracks ect

and there was nothing

could it have just been me not hitting it off centre

or is there somethin wrong with my driver?

My Nephew was playing golf with myself and his driver was making an odd noise when striking the ball.

When we checked it there was a big crack along the top of the face.

You say you have checked your driver so it might be that the crack is on the inside of the driver and not yet showing on the outside.

Did you let somebody else swing the club to see if they got the same sound?

Try dipping it in a bowl of water Alex, if there's bubbles coming from the head part it may be cracked - you can't necessarily see it if it's hairline or it's on the join of two parts.
