Golf in Majorca

Posted by: user115937 | Mon 31st Aug 2009 10:32 | Last Reply

Hi all

I'm off to Majorca next week for 7 days and wanted to squeeze in a round of golf out there.  We'll be staying on the east coast, therefore has anyone got any experience of either of these courses which are fairly close by.

Pula Golf club, Canyamel Golf club, Capdepera Golf club

All look very nice.

Anyone got any advise or recommendations?

Cheers

Matt

Hey Matt, hows the golf going at Oak Park?

Wish I could be in Majorca!

David, I went on a golfing holiday to Mallorca once, many moons ago and stayed in Palma at a hotel which had a special room for golfers to store their clubs.

Went to collect for our first game at Santa Ponsa and they were not there - stolen from a secure hotel room. End of holiday.

Hi Dennis

Golf is going OK at Oak Park, its just a bloody hard course especially in the middle section up the hill, I've broken 100 a few times but consistency is where its at and I dont have any!

Really enjoying the club golf life,

We'll have to get together for another round soon.

I agree that those stupid holes up the hill are a killer, Matt, but the rest of the course is pretty easy.

hi matt,

im in mallorca at the moment, if you are planning on booking tee times before you leave, make sure you tee before 9am, as by 12 o clock it is over 100 degrees, and doesnt cool down until 11pm, hope this helps

Thanks for that Paul, sounds like a scorcher out there then!

I might play it by ear and see what the week brings when we go out, our hotel can apparently get some good deals at the clubs I have mentioned.  I'm not taking my clubs, will probably hire a set if I want to play.
