Good luck everyone! Wish I could be there!
If this runs again next year I will definitely make more effort to attend!

Good luck to all those playing and don't forget plenty of balls, Whychwood is part protected nature reserve so if you hit the ball in the rough on certain holes you can't even look for it never mind go in and play it. Apparantly a 10 man society lost 300 balls there the otherweek over 36 holes (don't take that as gospel it somerthing I heard not witnessed)
Don't let that put you off though it's a really nice course it's like an inland links course just nowhere near the coast if that makes any sense, with good facilities and a friendly atmosphere I actually got married there and they made us all feel very welcome.

Played Wychwood a few weeks ago. Bought a course planner which showed a lot of water on it. Expected to see vast expanses of water everywhere. Truth is that the "Water Hazards" are massive reed beds. Nice course though and there are some holes which require a long carry over the "reed beds/water hazards" to reach the fairway which is then about 5 yards wide or thats what it seemed to me. Wish I had qualified.

I'd love to play Friday but have been stretching it recently with days off work to play golf so you'll have to do without me - I'm sure you'll cope!

I'm not in the open but I only work 10 minutes away so could maybe make it for a game on the Friday afternoon dependant on t-time.

I've just been on teeoftimes.co.uk and the 15:30 tee time is available at £15. I'm not sure that we would be able to t off anylater than that and still squeeze 18 in but if you tee off before 15:30 it's going to cost £30.
So if anyone is interested drop me PM and I will get it booked and we can sort payment out between us.
Oh and if people are looking to t off before 8am they can get it for £9 on the same site.

Congratulations to all of those people who made the final game.
I hope the weather is good for your round and that the course is in a tip-top condition.
Have a good round and may the best person win.
