Womens golf balls

What's the difference between mens and womens golf balls?

I only ask as I was having a bad round on Thursday and after putting 2 tee shots into the water, the next ball out of my bag was a ladies ball that I found a few weeks ago. I thought what the hell and just starting using it. Boy do these balls fly, I was getting a good 20-30 yards extra carry on my drives. Carried on with it for the rest of the round and it was flying long and straight, not a lot of feel to it though.

Is it okay for men to use womens golf balls?

The ball in question was a Slazenger Panthera with a clear white outer skin and a breast cancer logo on it. Looked on google and JJB sell a 15 ball pack of them for a tenner! http://www.jjbgolf.co.uk/slazenger-panthera-pure-15-ball-pack/entprod_101119.aspx
