Prizes

Hi

Im playing in a Charity Golf day on Friday where they are offering prizes such as a new cars for a hole in one.

 The rules on amateur status say you cannot accept prizes over £500...what happens if........

Suggestions please?

You may be offered a "Bet".

Odds are £1 against the price of the car.

Or entered into a raffle for the car.  Only 10 tickets and you're given all of them.

Usually it's "Get a hole-in-one and you get a free raffle ticket for the chance to win a car.  Raffle tickets may be purchase at a cost of £### each" (where £### is the cost of the car).  This means that the prize is not exclusively available to persons getting a hole-in-one and so is inside the rules.
