Chris, it is all very well having a hipflask, but you have to know when to use it (bit like a lob wedge).

VGS local rules state that hipflasks should be used when

one member of a group gets a birdie

all members of a group score the same

all members of a group find themselves in the same bunker.

Or when one member of the group gets grass on his shoes.

John If our group stuck to those rules we probably wouldn't get past the second (the bunker bit, not the birdie)

Well, we also have Winter Rules, I didn't want to mention these as they are currently in development.

VGS Winter Rules - Hipflask out for

two member getting pars on the same hole

28 handicapper scores 2 Stableford points

Just sorted out the new bag and from the old one got:

Bag of tees, wooden, plastic, castle all sorts.  5 brand new DDH balls.  Various other found good quality balls and one stray yellow.  2 good and 4 knackered gloves.  2 pitch mark repairers. 20 silk cut and a windproof lighter.  Towel.  Waterproofs, 2 caps and a very smelly jumper.  Woolly hat and gloves.  2 litre bottle of very dilute grapefruit juice (half empty), 2 paracetamols, a bottle of Glucosamine and Chondrotin tablets, magnetic massage balls.  Clip on ball retriever/rake gadget (broken) and a shot clicker.  Pair of pliers, wire cutters, a novelty screwdriver set and some jumbo length tywraps.  Loads of Mars bar wrappers and sleeve ball packets.  17p in change in a sock.  4 pens and 3 pencils and old score card.  2 steel studs for my old shoes and 4 plastics for my new pair.  Umbrella.  Apple core and my old house keys (haven't told my wife about this because she thinks she lost them and I had to change all the locks).

Suprised I had room for my clubs.

A wonderful little bit of kit (see http://www.nikken.com/product.cfm?ThemeID=3&GetProductGroup=Magnetic%20Support&GetProductID=70)  Comes in a little holder, great for stiff necks and pulled muscles.  Also got these (http://www.nikken.com/product.cfm?ThemeID=3&GetProductGroup=Magnetic%20Insoles&GetProductID=12) in my shoes.  I'm not normally one to go for 'alternative' therapies, but these do seem to work.  They're very expensive, but luckily I know someone who gets me them cheap.

I have a set of massage balls. I'm not to sure if they're magnetic though.

I have an ever increasing collection of loose change.  Every time I play I empty my pockets of loose change into a bag pocket and forget to take it out.  Soon have enough for a new driver!
