What 14th Club Should I Carry?

Posted by: user208184 | Fri 5th Jun 2009 21:00 | Last Reply

Currently I carry 13 clubs?

Driver and 3 wood.  A 3i hybrid.  4 iron through to PW and a 54 amd 58 deg wedge.  Plus the flat stick.

Was wondering what people thought.  Is it worth carrying a 14th club?  What club should I add to my bag.  I can see the point in a 5 Wood-I would never use it.  Not sure I can utilise another wedge with the lofts I currently have.  Any thoughts?

If you dont know what you want and cant see what you need, why are you after another club at all?

I carry 14 clubs, I can only use about 3 of them though!

I think i'm going to drop my driver to make way for a 52 wedge and see how it goes.

I agree with Paul. Chipper is a waste of bag space! a 7,8,9 iron will do the job with  a putting stroke. 7 is best if there is no rough to clear and you want max roll through to 9 if you want to clear a bit of long grass and not roll as much.
