Golfing in Galway?

Hi All, i'm new to the site & was wondering if anyone could help. Me and some friends are going to Galway late July & was thinking of having a round of golf whilst there. Does anyone know of any decent courses and can higher clubs or is it better to bring your own?
We play off 16-28 handicap.
